season 7 of Jersey Shore may NOT be what you were expecting..

It looks like Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is going to be 'phased out' of the shore house in an attempt to keep viewers tuning in. not to worry! she'll land right in the lap of her new spin-off... oh yea, they've had enough of The Situation's shxt..

 over at mtv.com, the comments are running the gamut from outrage at Snook's pregnancy to shock at Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino's recent stint in rehab.

 while many point out that the show lost 2 million viewers this season, some are quick to blame it on the constant bickering of Sammie 'Sweetheart' and on-again, off-again boyf Ronnie from last season.

mike addresses his choice to do an inpatient stay:

"I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion. I have spent the past several weeks getting treatment for this problem and recuperating from my work and appearance schedule. I appreciate my fans support and love you guys." 

Mike's dad had this to say regarding his son checking into rehab for shoving booger sugar up his face every chance he gets prescription pills and exhaustion:

Mike's issues became so bad that it was imperative for them to get him into treatment.

When Mikey was in rehab we found the facility for him in Florida and we brought him down here and did a 7 day dry out period then he went to another facility for 30 days.

For me, after years of dealing with his addiction, years of dealing with all the bullsh*t, this wasn’t a 16-year-old kid. The guy was a 27-year-old man. I was just hoping he would be able to stand up.
